President John Dramani Mahama has pointed to signs of economic recovery in Ghana, citing improving macroeconomic stability, declining inflation and renewed investor confidence.
He made the remarks during a Muslim Prayers and Thanksgiving Service at the National Mosque in Accra, held as part of the National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving.
Mr Mahama attributed the progress to what he described as prudent economic management, as well as the resilience and sacrifices of the Ghanaian people. However, he cautioned that sustained effort would be needed to ensure inclusive growth and shared prosperity.
“While significant gains have been made, we must continue to work together to secure lasting progress for all,” he said.
The president also called for what he described as a national reset, urging both citizens and public officials to uphold integrity, accountability and responsible leadership.
He appealed for a collective rejection of corruption, stressing that national transformation depends on individual responsibility and a commitment to public service.
Mr Mahama further highlighted Ghana’s tradition of religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, describing the country’s diversity as a key strength.
He urged Ghanaians to continue promoting unity across religious and ethnic lines, warning that sustained national development depends on preserving social harmony.
