The Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for the Tamale North Constituency, hon. Alhassan Suhuyini has pledged a cash donation of GH¢50,000 to support the growth and development of Radio Tamale 91.7 during its 10th Anniversary launch.

Speaking as the Special Guest of Honor and Keynote speaker at the anniversary event, the Deputy Minister praised the station for its immense contribution to media development and community engagement in Northern Ghana over the past decade.
The celebration, held under the theme, “Celebrating a Decade of Amplifying Voices and Connecting Northern Ghana,” brought together media practitioners, stakeholders, dignitaries, and supporters of the station to commemorate ten years of impactful broadcasting.

In his remarks, the Mr. Suhuyini described it as a great honor to be part of the milestone celebration, noting that Radio Tamale 91.7 has consistently provided a platform for diverse voices while strengthening unity and communication across Northern Ghana.


“For ten years, Radio Tamale has given a platform to diverse voices and strengthened the bonds of our community in Northern Ghana. Here’s to many more years of amplifying voices,” he stated.
He congratulated the management and staff of the station for their dedication, professionalism, and commitment to quality broadcasting, which he said has earned the station admiration and relevance within the media landscape of the north.
To further demonstrate his support for the station’s growth and future aspirations, the Deputy Minister announced a personal cash donation of GH¢50,000 to assist Radio Tamale in expanding its operations and enhancing its service delivery.
The gesture was met with excitement and appreciation from management, staff, and guests at the event, who described the support as a major boost towards the station’s development agenda.

Radio Tamale 91.7 has, over the last decade, established itself as one of the leading radio stations in Northern Ghana, championing issues of development, education, culture, governance, and social cohesion across the region.
The anniversary celebration formed part of activities marking the station’s 10 years of dedicated service to the people of Northern Ghana.
