Traditional leaders in Pongyentanga in the Wa West District of the Upper West Region have urged the government to complement the planned 24-hour economy market with improved healthcare, education, roads, security, and agricultural support.
The chiefs said the market could stimulate economic activity, but its benefits would be limited if the basic infrastructure and services needed to support residents and traders remained inadequate.
