The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has conducted balloting for its national officer aspirants ahead of the party’s national elections slated for October 3, 2026.

In all, 47 aspirants cleared by the Vetting Committee will contest across nine national officer positions.

National Chairman Race

Four candidates will battle for the chairmanship following the withdrawal of former Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Boasiako (Chairman Wontumi). At the end of the balloting on Wednesday, former General Secretary, John Boadu, picked the first slot.

Sylvester Mensah — Slot 1

Dr. Charles Dwamena — Slot 4

National Treasurer Contest

Hajia Ruka Ahmed — Ballot Position 1

Alfred Kojo Thompson — Ballot Position 2

Dr Issahaku Moomin Tahiru — Ballot Position 3

Collins Nuamah — Ballot Position 4

National Organiser — 8 aspirants

National Youth Organiser — 6 aspirants
