Samira Bawumia, wife of former Vice President and 2024 NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has launched a series of constituency visits across the Ashanti Region to mobilise support ahead of the party’s internal elections.

The campaign, which started on Monday, 5 January 2026, will cover multiple constituencies, with engagements scheduled from early morning to evening to meet delegates and party supporters.

In Asante Akim Central, the tour begins at 11:00 a.m. in Konongo, followed by a session in Juaben at 2:00 p.m., and will conclude in Kwadaso at 6:00 p.m.

Other constituencies on the trail include Offinso North and South, Tafo, Afigya Kwabre North and South, Manhyia North and South, Akroforum, Obuasi East and West, Mampong, Nsuta Kwaman Beposo, Effiduasi, Atwima Nwabiagya North, Subin, Bekwai, and Atwima Kwanwoma.

Local coordinators have been assigned to facilitate the visits and ensure meaningful engagement with party delegates.

The campaign aims to highlight Dr. Bawumia’s achievements and vision for the NPP, connect with grassroots supporters, outline policy priorities, and encourage voter participation in the upcoming flagbearer selection scheduled for 31 January 2026.
