The Northern Regional Minister has called for increased collaboration among stakeholders to accelerate the region’s socio-economic development and reduce poverty.
Speaking at the launch of the Northern Transformation and Integrated Investment Strategy (NTIIS), the Minister emphasized the need for a unified approach between government agencies, development partners, traditional authorities and the private sector.

He noted that the NTIIS provides a comprehensive framework that aligns various development initiatives in the region and ensures effective coordination of resources and interventions.
According to the Minister, fragmented efforts in the past had often led to duplication of resources and slow progress, adding that the new strategy would create synergy and help achieve inclusive growth.
The successful implementation of this strategy requires the active participation of all stakeholders. We must work together to ensure that the opportunities and resources available are harnessed for the benefit of our people, he stated.

The strategy aims at promoting agricultural productivity, improving access to basic services such as health and education, and enhancing local economic development.
It also focuses on youth empowerment, climate resilience and infrastructure development in rural communities.

Representatives of development partners who attended the launch commended the initiative and pledged their support to help actualise its objectives.
Traditional leaders also expressed their commitment to work closely with government agencies to ensure the success of the programme and improve the living conditions of their people.

The Minister expressed confidence that with stronger collaboration and commitment, the Northern Region will witness significant socio-economic advancement in the coming years.
