Residents of Janjori Kukuo have issued an urgent appeal to authorities and the media over the deteriorating state of roads in the community, describing the situation as a major threat to lives and livelihoods.
According to the residents, the poor road network has severely affected farming activities and cut off the community from essential services, particularly healthcare.

They say transporting sick persons, especially children, to health facilities has become extremely difficult due to the unmotorable nature of the roads.
The community acknowledged efforts by the Assembly Member, Hon. Prince Saying Uriah, who they say has been pursuing the matter since last year.

However, they expressed disappointment over what they described as the failure of the District Assembly and the area's Member of Parliament to address the problem despite repeated appeals.
Residents further questioned why equipment under the District Road Improvement Project (DRIP) has not been deployed to rehabilitate the roads, alleging that the District Chief Executive has cited a lack of funds for fuel as the reason for the delay.
They are calling on media organizations and the general public to draw attention to their plight and urge authorities to take immediate action to repair the roads and restore access to critical services.
