Mpraeso, Eastern Region – April 19, 2025 – The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) underscored its commitment to customer-centric innovation by leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance customer experience at the Kwahu Business Forum held at Mpraeso in the Eastern Region.

The forum, a flagship event of the Kwahu Easter Business Dialogue, gathered an influential mix of financial institutions, private sector stakeholders, MSMEs, government representatives, and global enterprises under the theme: “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector.”

ADB’s presence at the forum was marked by high patronage at its exhibition booth, thanks to the deployment of a fully digitised and paperless customer onboarding system.

The internally developed platform enabled visitors to open accounts within minutes, with each new customer receiving a free Visa Prepaid Card activated on the spot, offering immediate access to ADB’s suite of digital banking services.

Speaking at the event, ADB’s Managing Director, Edward Ato Sarpong, emphasised the bank’s new strategic direction aimed at positioning ADB as an innovation-driven institution.

The Kwahu Business Forum is a strategic platform, and ADB is proud to demonstrate our commitment to inclusive banking by bringing technology closer to the people, he stated.

He further highlighted the significance of the initiative, noting, “The successful rollout of our digital onboarding platform at such a high-profile event shows that ADB is ready to lead the transformation of financial service delivery in Ghana.”

In addition to its digital showcase, ADB announced plans to identify and support promising micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that participated in the forum. The bank intends to offer tailored financial solutions to help these businesses scale and thrive.

ADB continues to serve a broad spectrum of customers across Ghana, offering services in agribusiness, corporate and institutional banking, trade services, and more.

With 89 branches nationwide, the bank remains a key player in advancing financial inclusion and economic development.
