President nominates new managing director for National Investment Bank

Accra, Ghana: The President of the Republic has nominated Dr. Doli-Wura Awushi Abdul-Malik Seidu Zakaria as the new Managing Director of the National Investment Bank (NIB).

The appointment, as outlined in an official letter from the Secretary to the President, Dr. Callistus Mahama, is set to take effect on January 27, 2025.

In the statement addressed to the Minister of Finance, Dr. Mahama emphasized the need for all necessary steps to be taken to formalize the appointment in accordance with the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 929) and the Constitution of the National Investment Bank.

This nomination reflects the President’s commitment to ensuring strong leadership within Ghana’s financial institutions.

Dr. Zakaria, a distinguished professional, is expected to bring significant expertise to the bank, steering it toward achieving greater financial stability and growth.

Copies of the letter were forwarded to key stakeholders, including the Vice President, the Chief of Staff, and Dr. Zakaria himself.
