Nigeria secured a 2-1 victory over Iran in an international friendly played at Corendon Airlines Park on Friday.
Goals from Moses Simon and Akor Adams ensured the Super Eagles claimed the win, while Mehdi Taremi scored a consolation for Iran.
The result offers Nigeria a timely morale boost as they prepare for their next friendly against Jordan in four days.

Before kick-off, a solemn moment took place as Iran’s players walked onto the pitch carrying school bags in tribute to victims of the Minaab girls’ school massacre.
The gesture honoured the memory of more than 170 people, most of them schoolgirls, who were killed on February 28 when a missile struck a girls’ school in southern Iran during the opening hours of the assault.
