The United States Embassy in Accra has announced the availability of more than 1,000 non-immigrant visa appointment slots, offering applicants an opportunity to secure interviews within the next week.

According to the Embassy, the newly opened slots are primarily for B1/B2 visas, which cover business and tourism travel to the United States.

“There are more than 1,000 B1/B2 visa appointment slots available in the next week – one of those could be yours,” the Embassy said in a Facebook post on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.

Officials encouraged prospective applicants who have been planning to travel to take advantage of the availability by booking interviews immediately. Those who already have appointments scheduled later in the year are also being urged to reschedule for earlier dates, if convenient.

The Embassy described the development as a significant opportunity for individuals seeking to travel to the United States for business meetings, conferences, tourism, or family visits.

Applicants are advised to visit the Embassy’s official visa information page to complete the application process and secure available interview slots.

The announcement is expected to ease appointment backlogs and provide greater flexibility for travellers seeking timely visa processing.
