Benjamin Essuman, Special Aide to the Chief of Staff, has described the 2026 Kwahu Business Forum as set to be massive, exciting, and highly impactful.

Speaking in an interview with journalists explained that the organisers have applied lessons from past editions to introduce fresh, creative approaches that will make this year’s event even more successful and meaningful.

One of the most significant changes is the shift to a new venue: the modern, expansive Kwahu Business Village, specifically designed to host over 1,000 participants.

Benjamin Essuman noted that the facility will also function as a permanent centre for business conferences, forums, entertainment events, and other related activities.

He further stated that the 2026 edition has also been extended to a full three days, running from April 3 to April 5, 2026 with a variety of sessions and discussions lined up.

This year’s forum, he said, will also bring together a wider range of participants, including insurance companies, banking institutions, automobile companies, spare parts dealers, and many others.

A major highlight will be the attendance of high-profile dignitaries, including President John Dramani Mahama, Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr. Johnson Pandit Asiama and numerous other senior government officials and private-sector leaders.

Registration for the three-day event opens on February 12, 2026, and will close at 8:30 a.m. on April 3, 2026.

Benjamin Essuman, a member of the organising team, has urged prospective attendees and businesses to register early and submit details of their delegations to ensure smooth coordination and effective participation.

He explained that the Kwahu Business Forum aims to inspire, support, and guide entrepreneurs and businesses from the Kwahu area, helping them scale up and contribute to national development.

“The Kwahu Business Forum is the brainchild of President John Dramani Mahama and Chief of Staff Julius Debrah,” Essuman said. “In 2024, we brought together businesspeople from Kwahu to discuss the national business landscape and explore what then-candidate John Dramani Mahama could do for them if elected.

“It provided an opportunity to gauge the business community’s views on opportunities and challenges. The 2025 edition was an expanded version because the President tasked the Chief of Staff with bringing together all the banks. We discovered from the 2024 edition that access to capital was a major challenge for businesses, so funding was essential. As a result, we invited all the banks to Kwahu Mpraeso and held a successful event.
