Management of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has dismissed media reports alleging disturbances on its campus involving students and officers of the Ghana Police Service.
In a press release signed by the Registrar, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, the University described the reports as “false, misleading, and should be disregarded.”
The statement emphasised that no unrest had occurred at TTU, noting that the campus remains calm, secure, and focused on its core mission of teaching, learning, and research.
“TTU continues to uphold its enviable reputation as a peaceful centre of academic excellence and institutional integrity,” the release said.
Management urged the media to exercise due diligence and verify information with the University’s Directorate of Public Affairs before publication in order to avoid misrepresentation.
The University also reassured students, staff, parents, and stakeholders that the institution remains safe, stable, and conducive to scholarship and innovation.
