The Member of Parliament for North Tongu and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has donated laptops to 36 newly posted teachers working in rural communities across his constituency.
This initiative is part of a continuing tradition by the MP to support and motivate teachers who accept postings to remote areas.
Mr. Ablakwa says the gesture is a way of showing appreciation and helping teachers feel welcomed in their new roles.
“The tradition continues in my beloved North Tongu,” he said. “Teachers who accept postings to rural communities in my constituency receive laptops from the MP to show our appreciation.”
The MP added that he plans to expand more teacher-support initiatives, including regular training programs, scholarships, and award schemes.
“These policies are aimed at retaining teachers, boosting their morale, and ultimately improving education quality in North Tongu,” he said.
