GIBA emphasized that his wealth of experience in both legislative and executive capacities positions him uniquely to steer the newly restructured ministry.

The association highlighted the critical mandate of the Ministry, which includes driving digital infrastructure development, policy formulation, digital inclusion, broadcasting, and cybersecurity.

GIBA also expressed confidence in Mr. George’s ability to collaborate with the broadcasting sector to foster a dynamic media landscape while upholding high ethical standards.

The association underscored his advocacy for digital rights and inclusion, which aligns with GIBA’s commitment to equitable access to technology and the independence of the media.

We commend President Mahama for his strategic decision to appoint knowledgeable and experienced individuals like Samuel Nartey George to key ministerial positions, the statement read.
