John Mahama returns to Accra for Peace Conference; NDC campaign to resume in Northern Region Soon

Email :101

Former President John Mahama returned to Accra today to attend a Peace Conference organized by the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council.

This update was provided by Lawyer Beatrice Annan, Deputy Spokesperson for Mahama’s campaign team.

The conference aims to foster dialogue and promote peace as the nation approaches the December elections.

According to Annan, Mahama’s visit to Accra is a temporary pause in the NDC’s Northern Region campaign, with the team scheduled to resume its activities in key constituencies, including Karaga, Gusheigu, and Mion.

Annan dismissed rumors circulated by the Bawumia campaign, which suggested that Mahama had “abandoned the North.”

She emphasized that the NDC campaign is following a well-defined strategy designed to connect with voters effectively.

The NDC has a strategy, and we will go by our superior strategy. Disregard any falsehood by the Bawumia Campaign that John Mahama has abandoned the North, she stated.

Annan highlighted the strong support the NDC enjoys in the Northern regions, which she described as one of the party’s strongholds.

The John Mahama/NDC brand is the most attractive brand in the five regions of the North. Thank you, Northern Region, for your consistent support for NDC. These regions will forever be green, she declared confidently.

The former president’s campaign in the Northern Region will resume shortly, with the team hoping to build on what they see as solid grassroots support across the region as the NDC intensifies efforts ahead of the elections.
