The governing New Patriotic Party NPP parliamentary candidate for Sagnarigu Constituency, Madam Felicia Tettey has thrown in the towel in the upcoming parliamentary elections, calling on the party to get someone to replace her in 2024.

She said this in a leaked WhatsApp chat that took place in an NPP group called Sagnarigu Constituency adding that she has sacrificed so much for the NPP in the constituency, yet there is no appreciation for her efforts therein.

“I have gotten to my limits. Am killing myself for the constituency but do appreciate it. Get a candidate for Sagnarigu”, she wrote in response to the plea by some party supporters.

The NPP in the Sagnarigu constituency has been in the news for some time for bad reasons, which boils down to the recent parliamentary primaries that according to some disgruntled supporters pushed in favor of Felicia who was subsequently confirmed to lead the NPP into 2024 elections.

Some polling station executives were suspended for allegedly sabotaging the process to get Madam Felicia endorsed as the NPP 2024 parliamentary candidate.

This many political analysts believe has affected Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in the presidential primaries that were held on November 4 this year.
