The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has congratulated the successful candidates in the party’s constituency executive elections, held Saturday, October 24, 2026, and urged them to promote unity and strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a congratulatory message to party members, Mr Moore described the victories as a testament to the commitment, dedication, and hard work of the successful candidates, as well as the confidence reposed in them by party members.
He commended the winners for their sacrifices and willingness to serve the party and the people of Ghana, reminding them that their victories came with the responsibility to work in the collective interest of the NDC.
Mr Moore urged the newly elected constituency executives to remain humble, united and committed to the party’s ideals and principles.
He said their immediate priority should be to strengthen the party’s grassroots structures, promote unity among members and advance the NDC’s collective vision.
The regional chairman also appealed to candidates who were unsuccessful in the elections to remain committed to the party and continue contributing to its growth and development.
“Every member has a valuable role to play, and our collective strength lies in our ability to work together despite our differences,” he said.
Mr Moore stressed the importance of reconciliation following the internal contests, urging party members to set aside their differences and work together to achieve the NDC’s objectives in the 2028 general elections.
He further called on members to support President John Dramani Mahama’s vision, saying the party could achieve its goals only through collective effort and a shared sense of purpose.
The regional chairman extended his appeal for unity and cooperation to the party’s forthcoming regional executive elections, urging members to remain focused on the task ahead.
He said a united and committed party would be better positioned to consolidate its gains, strengthen its organizational capacity and secure victory in the 2028 elections.
Mr Moore wished the successful candidates wisdom, strength, and success in their respective roles, expressing hope that the outcome of the constituency elections would usher in greater unity and continued progress within the NDC.
