With the internal electoral contest concluded, the Northern Regional Secretariat has called on all candidates, their supporters and the newly elected executives to put their differences aside and work together towards strengthening the party.

The statement emphasised that while competition was necessary during the elections, collaboration must now become the guiding principle, urging party members to close ranks and build stronger relationships across the region.

There are no factions in the NDC. There is only one family with one goal, the statement declared, underscoring the need for unity and collective responsibility among party members.

The secretariat maintained that consolidating the party’s gains and strengthening its structures at the grassroots level would be crucial to achieving its political ambitions.

Looking ahead, the NDC Northern Regional Secretariat identified victory in the 2028 general elections as a major objective requiring the collective efforts of all party members.

It called for renewed commitment to strengthening the party’s structures across polling stations, branches and constituencies throughout the Northern Region.

The statement stressed that achieving this objective would require every member to contribute actively, irrespective of their position during the just-ended internal elections.

The secretariat concluded by reaffirming its commitment to party unity and democratic participation, expressing optimism that a shared sense of purpose would help position the NDC for success in the next general elections.

The statement was signed by King Salam, Northern Regional Secretary of the NDC, who called on members to uphold the spirit of brotherhood, sisterhood and collective responsibility in the party’s work.
