Germany and Arsenal forward Kai Havertz says he is ready for the games against Switzerland and Ghana in the March international window.

The former Chelsea attacking midfielder, who has been named the vice captain of Germany, is making a return to the Die Manschaft after 16 months following his absence from the national team due to injuries.

However, ahead of the matches against the Swiss and the Black Stars, Havertz disclosed his is fully fit and ready for game time.

I feel very, very good. The past few months have been a real rollercoaster for me,” he told the DFB media. You definitely notice it when you’ve been out for a year and haven’t played at all. But I feel fit. I’ll need to start a few more games to get back to 100 percent. I feel ready to start games again and to be able to play the full 90 minutes again in the future, he added.

Havertz will reunite with his former Arsenal teammate Thomas Partey, who is expected to start for the Black Stars on Monday.

The German are hoping to return to glory at the World Cup in North America this summer, and will face Ghana’s West African neighbours Ivory Coast, Ecuador and Curacao in Group E.

The Black Stars will face 1966 champions England, 2018 finalist Croatia and Panama in Group L.

Before the game against Germany, the Black Stars will face Austria in Vienna on Friday.
