The Member of Parliament for the Sagnarigu Constituency, Atta Issah, has announced the commencement of major infrastructure projects at Tamale Senior High School (TAMASCO), aimed at improving teaching, learning, and student accommodation at the institution.
According to the MP, the projects form part of efforts to expand educational infrastructure and enhance the learning environment at one of the Northern Region’s leading second-cycle institutions.
The planned developments include the construction of a 5,000-seat capacity dining hall, a 12-unit two-storey classroom block, a two-storey boys’ dormitory, and a semi-detached two-bedroom bungalow.
Hon. Issah expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund), particularly Dandawa, for facilitating the projects.
He also extended special gratitude to the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, for supporting the initiative.
He described the projects as transformative interventions that will significantly ease infrastructure challenges at TAMASCO while improving the welfare of both students and staff.
The Sagnarigu legislator noted that the development forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the educational sector within the constituency and ensure that students have access to improved facilities that support academic excellence.
Hon. Issah reaffirmed his commitment to championing development initiatives that uplift the constituency, stressing that the upcoming projects signal steady progress for the area.
“Sagnarigu is rising,” he stated, expressing optimism that the new infrastructure will contribute meaningfully to the growth of education in the constituency and the wider Northern Region.
