Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have arrived in the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup.

The team touched down in the early hours of Wednesday as they intensify preparations for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), scheduled to take place in Morocco next month.

Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren is expected to use the four-nation tournament as a key assessment platform, with fixtures lined up against Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania.

Bjorkegren last week announced his squad for the competition, handing call-ups to six new players as he continues to shape his team ahead of the continental showpiece.

The Black Queens will open their Pink Ladies Cup campaign against Hong Kong on February 28. They will then face Russia on March 3 before wrapping up their group matches against Tanzania on March 6.

Following their participation in the tournament, Ghana will take on Ivory Coast in a final preparatory match before the WAFCON kicks off in Morocco.
