Tilapia lovers are in for a feast at this year’s Channel One TV AgriFair, as Tropo Farms—West Africa’s largest tilapia producer—has announced it will supply five tonnes of fresh tilapia for the three-day event.
The second edition of the AgriFair takes place from Friday, November 28 to Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra.
Billed as “Ghana’s biggest exhibition and sale of fresh farm produce,” the fair will run daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with free entry for the public.
The event brings together farmers, agribusinesses, agro-processors, financial institutions, and consumers in an effort to promote food security and support growth in Ghana’s agricultural sector.Ghana travel guide
Speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Tropo Farms’ Marketing Manager, Rebecca Avomo Diallo, said the company is returning stronger after selling out all its stock during the maiden edition of the fair.
“The first edition of the AgriFair was amazing. On the first day, we sold out, the same for the second day, and on the third day, we had to call the other depot to supply some. We are the biggest tilapia farm in West Africa,” she said.
Madam Avomo Diallo announced that with the second edition, Tropo Farms is “coming prepared” with five tonnes of fresh tilapia harvested directly from its farms.
“We will be selling per crate—each about 25kg—but we can also sell per kilogram. The average price of the 25kg crate is around GHC1,180, and you can get up to 70 pieces of tilapia,” she explained.
In addition to fresh fish, Tropo Farms will set up a grilling station, complete with banku and tilapia. “
In the first edition, we brought some innovations to tilapia products, and this time we are bringing even more,” she added.
The bumper supply of tilapia is expected to be one of the main attractions at AgriFair 2025, offering both households and retailers fresh, farm-direct fish at competitive prices.
