The Yendi Municipal Assembly, under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Sugri Muniru, has donated a total of 1,015 dual-desks to the Yendi Municipal Education Directorate to help address the acute shortage of furniture in schools across the municipality.

He noted that the lack of adequate furniture in classrooms has long hampered effective teaching and learning, forcing some pupils to study under uncomfortable conditions.
This intervention is part of our broader commitment to creating a more conducive learning environment for our children. Education remains a key pillar of our development agenda, and we will continue to make the needed investments to ensure that no child is left behind, Sugri Muniru, MCE for Yendi.

The donation forms part of the Assembly’s education improvement drive, aimed at enhancing the quality of education and ensuring that pupils across Yendi and surrounding communities have access to basic learning infrastructure.
The Yendi Municipal Education Directorate expressed appreciation to the Assembly for its continued support, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.

According to officials, the desks will be distributed to schools most affected by the furniture shortage, helping to promote comfort, concentration, and better learning outcomes among pupils.
This latest intervention reinforces the Assembly’s dedication to addressing key developmental challenges in education, health, sanitation, and infrastructure within the Yendi Municipality.
