Tamale – April 4, 2025 – Former Tamale Metro Chief Executive nominee, Hon. Iddrisu Hardi Pagazaa, has expressed gratitude to his supporters across Dagbon and beyond, following the announcement of new nominees for Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) by President John Dramani Mahama.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Hon. Pagazaa acknowledged the overwhelming love and support shown to him, describing it as “beyond imagination.”

“To all my supporters and lovers across Dagbon and beyond, I say a very big THANK YOU,” he said. “Let’s continue to support President John Dramani Mahama, the great NDC, and all his appointees to deliver on the promises we made to Ghanaians.”

Hon. Pagazaa reminded party faithful and the public that the Tamale Metro Assembly seat, like all leadership positions, can only be occupied by one person at a time.

He emphasized the need to respect the party’s leadership and decisions, reinforcing the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s principle of party unity over individual ambition.

“The interest of the NDC is supreme. Let us all respect the decision of leadership,” he noted. “Allah Almighty knows best and HE SHALL direct us on to our own lane.”

He congratulated all newly nominated MMDCEs, praying for divine wisdom and guidance as they prepare to lead their respective assemblies.

“Yaa Allah, I look up to You for YOUR divine direction and guidance,” he concluded, calling for sustained peace across Tamale, Dagbon, and within the ranks of the NDC.

Hon. Pagazaa’s statement is being seen as a unifying message at a time when political transitions in local governance structures often come with intense competition and emotional reactions among party supporters.
