Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended its congratulations to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, on his re-election as Speaker of the 9th Parliament.
A delegation led by GFA President Kurt Okraku-Mantey paid a courtesy call on the Speaker to commend him on his continued leadership and discuss opportunities for collaboration to promote football development in Ghana.

During the visit, the GFA delegation presented a document titled “State of Ghana Football,” which outlines the current status of the sport in the country, challenges facing the industry, and proposed solutions for its growth.
Speaker Bagbin expressed his unwavering support for football, emphasizing its potential as a thriving industry that deserves investment and public backing.

He encouraged the GFA to embark on regional tours to identify and nurture young talent, which he believes will contribute to the overall progress of Ghanaian football.
The delegation was received by key parliamentary figures, including Majority Leader Hon. Mahama Ayariga, Minority Leader Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, Chairman of the Parliamentary Sports Committee Hon. Ernest Norgbey, Clerk to Parliament Mr. Ebenezer Ahumah Djietror, and other officials of the Parliamentary Service.

The meeting reinforced the commitment of both Parliament and the GFA to work together in advancing football in Ghana.
