Ghana Shippers’ Authority CEO Engages Platinum Shippers in Tamale

Tamale, February 25, 2025 – The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority (GSA), Professor Ransford Gyampo, has reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to enhancing Ghana’s international trade by supporting key players in the commercial shipping sector.

During a working visit to Tamale on Tuesday, Prof. Gyampo engaged with top Platinum shippers, addressing their challenges and exploring ways to strengthen their operations.

As part of the visit, he toured Sekaf Ghana Limited and Savannah Fruits Company, two major firms driving exports through the production and processing of shea-based products.

At Savannah Fruits Company, Prof. Gyampo expressed his admiration for the firm’s integrated supply chain management system, which spans the collection of shea nuts to refining them using state-of-the-art European facilities, and ultimately delivering high-quality products to international markets across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

The company showcased its global certifications for quality and ethical business practices, highlighting its adherence to world-class operational standards.

During discussions, the GSA CEO emphasized the Authority’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by exporters, ensuring a more efficient and supportive commercial shipping environment.

He acknowledged the critical role of these companies in boosting Ghana’s export revenues and improving the country’s Balance of Payments.

Prof. Gyampo commended Sekaf Ghana Limited and Savannah Fruits Company for their contributions to Ghana’s export sector, reassuring them of the GSA’s continuous support to facilitate their operations for their benefit and the broader growth of the national economy.
