Ghana’s crisis demands fervent prayers – Mahama

Email :41

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has called on supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to intensify their prayers, emphasizing the need for even greater spiritual commitment than during the campaign period.

He underscored the importance of seeking divine guidance to equip the party with the strength and wisdom necessary to implement policies aimed at improving the quality of life for all Ghanaians.

Addressing a gathering of NDC supporters, Mahama said, “This is the time we need to engage in fervent prayers than we did during the campaign for God to grant us the strength and wisdom to implement measures that will make Ghana a better place to live. All I will say is that it is finished; God has already done it.”

Mr Mahama accused the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of bequeathing substantial debts across various sectors, notably in education and energy, which his government is anticipated to address.

He articulated the belief that these significant debts constitute a deliberate entrapment designed by the NPP government to ensure his failure.

Nevertheless, Mr. Mahama affirmed that, with divine assistance, he would navigate these challenges successfully.

“The NPP government has set a trap for us. But we shall not be caught in that trap; we will escape unscathed. The Almighty God who granted us electoral victory will see us through the difficulties ahead until we achieve success. God will give us the wisdom to lead this country and make it better for future generations.”

Mahama addressed the delays in the disbursement of funds to WAEC by referring to a Facebook post that criticized the postponement.
