The Northern Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Ali Adolf Nburidiba, also referred to as ‘Chairman 24hour’, honoured an invitation from the Konkomba Development Youth Association of Nalugni (KDYAN).

The event, which brought together local leaders and youth activists, focused on rallying support for NDC’s 2024 presidential candidate, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, and the parliamentary candidate for the Mion constituency, Hajj Misbaw Mahama.

During the gathering, Chairman 24hour commended the youth group for their dedication and hard work, urging them to remain steadfast in their efforts to ensure victory for the NDC in the upcoming general elections.

He assured the group that they would not be forgotten once the NDC assumes power, stating, “In Shaa Allah, your hard work will not go unrewarded.”

As a gesture of appreciation, Chairman 24hour offered financial support to the group, although the specific amount was not disclosed. His gesture was met with gratitude from the youth leaders, who reiterated their commitment to mobilizing support for the NDC in the region.

In his speech, Chairman 24hour took the opportunity to criticize Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), questioning his credibility and highlighting what he described as a series of failed promises under Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.

He specifically referenced the unfulfilled One Village, One Dam (1V1D) policy, the underperformance of the One District, One Factory (1D1F) initiative, the unfulfilled promise of one million dollars per constituency, and the persistent depreciation of the Ghanaian cedi during Dr. Bawumia’s tenure as head of the Economic Management Team.

Chairman 24hour urged the people of Nalugni and surrounding communities to vote massively for John Mahama and Hajj Misbaw Mahama in the December polls, calling it a critical step towards restoring hope and development in the region.

The event concluded with renewed enthusiasm from the youth group, who pledged to intensify their campaign efforts in the Mion constituency and beyond as the election date draws closer.
