The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has interrogated Ghanaian dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, in connection with a luxury Lamborghini Urus linked to a $4 million fraud case in the United States.
The vehicle, identified by the FBI and the US Justice Department as proceeds of crime involving jailed Ghanaian national Nana Kwabena Amuah, was seized earlier this year.
On August 15, 2025, a US District Court in Kentucky authorized the US Government to repossess the car as restitution.
Following public claims by Shatta Wale that he bought the Lamborghini for $150,000, EOCO invited him to assist with investigations.
He was granted bail of GHC10 million with two sureties after hours of interrogation. EOCO confirmed he failed to provide valid purchase documents and could not identify the seller, known only as “Zak.”
Investigations are ongoing, with EOCO collaborating with the FBI and US Justice Department to uncover possible co-conspirators in Ghana.
