President John Dramani Mahama will on Saturday, June 14, 2025, begin a nationwide post-election “Thank You” tour with a major rally in the Savannah Region.

The event, scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at the forecourt of the Jakpa Palace in Damongo, is aimed at expressing appreciation for the region’s unwavering support during the 2024 general elections.

The tour forms part of President Mahama’s broader efforts to engage citizens, traditional leaders, and party supporters following his return to office and the rollout of key policy initiatives.

Saturday’s rally is expected to draw hundreds of residents from across the Savannah Region. The president is anticipated to deliver a message of gratitude, national unity, and renewed commitment to inclusive development.

The visit will also serve as a platform to reaffirm support for the administration’s flagship programmes, including the 24-hour economy initiative, which the government sees as central to job creation and economic transformation.
