The Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, has fulfilled his promise to support the Dagbon Palace redevelopment project.

On April 15, 2025, 500 bags of Diamond Cement were donated on his behalf to aid the ongoing construction efforts.

The donation was presented by Mr. Godfred Apasinaba Wumbei (popularly known as Yellow Man), a member of the NDC National Executive Committee and Deputy National Coordinator for DRIP, alongside Mr. Mateen, Treasurer for the Tamale North Constituency. Constituency executives led by Chairman Abubakari Shani witnessed the brief ceremony.

Hon. Agbodza, who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, had earlier made the pledge during a recent working visit to the north.

He paid a courtesy call on the Overlord of Dagbon, Ya-Na Abukari II, in the company of his deputy, Hon. Alhassan Sayibu Suhiyini, and other high-ranking officials from the ministry.

The elders, speaking on behalf of the Ya-Na, expressed profound appreciation for the gesture. They assured the minister’s representatives that the cement would be used judiciously and appealed to other individuals and organizations to emulate the support.

As Ghana’s Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza continues to play a pivotal role in the country’s infrastructure development.

His donation to the Dagbon Palace underscores his commitment to supporting cultural and community development initiatives beyond his official duties.
