Accra, April 14, 2025 — The Ministry of Health has announced a significant reduction in the cost of application forms for admission into health training institutions across the country. The move is aimed at improving access and affordability for prospective students seeking to enter Ghana’s health training institutions for the 2025/2026 academic year.
According to a press release issued by the Office of the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh (MP), the cost of the application forms has been reduced from GHS 200.00 to GHS 150.00.
The sale of the forms is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, and will end on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
“The reduction is intended to enhance access and affordability for applicants across the country,” the statement read.
The Ministry further emphasized that only GCB Bank PLC and the Agriculture Development Bank (ADB) are authorized to sell the application forms.
The general public and all prospective applicants have been urged to take note of this directive to avoid falling victim to fraud.
Further details regarding the admission process will be published soon, the Ministry assured.
The decision has been welcomed by many education stakeholders and is seen as part of the government’s broader effort to strengthen the healthcare sector by investing in human capital development.
