Accra, Ghana – March 1, 2025: The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended heartfelt Ramadan wishes to Muslims in Ghana and across the world as they begin their month-long fasting and prayers.

In a statement signed by the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, the NDC emphasized the significance of Ramadan as a period of spiritual renewal, unity, and generosity.

The party highlighted the values associated with Ramadan, including discipline, selflessness, and devotion to Allah, acknowledging the contributions of the Muslim community to national development.

The statement reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to fostering an inclusive and harmonious society where religious groups coexist peacefully.

“As Muslims embark on this spiritual journey, we pray for Allah’s blessings, guidance, and mercy upon them and their families. May this Ramadan bring renewed hope, prosperity, and unity to our nation,” the statement read.

The NDC’s message reflects a broader national effort to promote religious tolerance and solidarity, recognizing the vital role of the Muslim community in Ghana’s socio-economic growth.

Ramadan, observed by millions of Muslims globally, is a time of fasting, prayer, and reflection, aimed at strengthening faith and fostering compassion.

The party’s well-wishes come as part of its longstanding tradition of engaging with various religious communities in Ghana.

The statement concluded with a call for peace, mutual respect, and national unity as the holy month progresses.
