The Ghana Football Association has confirmed four international friendly matches for the Ghana national football team as part of preparations for the2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will be making their fifth appearance at the global showpiece, which will be co-hosted by United States, Canada, and Mexico later this year.
The Black Stars begin their pre-tournament schedule on March 27 with a clash against Austria national football team at Ernst Happel Stadium, with kickoff set for 17:00 GMT. They will then travel to Stuttgart to face Germany national football team at the MHP Arena three days later.
In May, head coach Otto Addo will lead the team into another warm-up encounter against Mexico national football team, although details regarding the venue and kickoff time are yet to be announced. Ghana will conclude their friendly schedule on June 2 with a match against Wales national football team at Cardiff City Stadium.
The Black Stars head into the tournament hoping to improve on their recent World Cup performances after group-stage exits at the2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The four-time African champions have been drawn in Group L alongside Panama national football team, England national football team, and Croatia national football team. Ghana will begin their campaign against Panama on June 17, before facing England on June 23 and wrapping up the group stage against Croatia on June 27.
