The Ghana Police Service has announced that it has seen a viral video in which a group of people are seen pelting stones at a student.

The Police said that investigations into the incident are ongoing, and further developments will be communicated in due course.

“The Service strongly condemns the violence and assures the public that all perpetrators will be identified and brought to justice,” a statement issued by the Police said.

The incident reportedly took place in Agona Swedru on Thursday, February 19, when tensions between students of the two participating schools escalated into a physical confrontation.

Eyewitness accounts indicate that what began as a rivalry during the sporting event quickly degenerated into clashes, resulting in the brutal assault of the Obrachire SHTS student.
