The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has urged women in the public sector to resist prejudice and entrenched societal stereotypes that hinder their advancement.

She encouraged female public servants to invest in their personal and professional development, noting that such commitment would position them as vital contributors to national growth.

Speaking at the Second Annual Conference for Women in Leadership in the Public Sector on Wednesday, February 18, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang called on women to remain focused, courageous, and purposeful in their careers.

I humbly urge all women, all female public service officers, not to yield to biases and stereotypes, but to act with boldness, act with clarity, act with purpose, build networks, seek mentorship, share your knowledge, sharpen your strategic expertise and excel in your discipline.

Position yourself as an indispensable contributor to national development, she said.
