‎The government, through the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection has paid the first term feeding grant to caterers under the Ghana School Feeding Programme (GSFP) in all the 16 regions.

‎According to a statement from the Programme, ‎the total number of cooking days for the first term of 2025/2026 academic year, which began on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, was 74 at the rate of GH¢2 per child per every school going day.‎

‎It is pertinent for caterers to note that the payment is according to the number of days they were able to feed beneficiary pupils during the term, the statement signed by Director of Public Relations Siiba Alfa said.‎

We urge caterers who have issues with the disbursement to immediately report to their respective Regional Coordinators for prompt redress.

Siiba Alfa took the opportunity to commend government for the timely release of funds and the caterers for their “patience and cooperation”.
