Some staff of Prudential Bank Ghana Limited are protesting what they describe as unfair treatment by the bank’s new management.
The aggrieved workers allege that the new leadership has implemented selective salary increases for certain junior staff members while overlooking long-serving employees.
Sources within the bank, who spoke to Citi Business News on condition of anonymity, on Wednesday, October 22, claimed that the adjustments have also been accompanied by the allocation of fuel allowances to selected individuals—actions they say have deepened discontent among the wider workforce
The protest is taking place at the bank’s head office, with employees calling for management to ensure equitable salary reviews and transparent communication across all staff categories.
Prudential Bank’s management is locked in a crunch meeting with the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union ICU).
