The Mayor of Tamale, Alhaji Adam Abubakari Takoro, has commenced his electoral area engagement initiative with a visit to the Datooyili Electoral Area within the Tamale South Constituency.
The engagement covered several communities, including Adubil-yili, Datoyili, Cheshei, and Zuozugu.


According to the Mayor, the initiative forms part of a broader effort to enhance collaboration between the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly and residents of the metropolis.
He explained that the visits are aimed at creating a direct platform for interaction with community members to better understand their development concerns and priorities.

This exercise provides an important opportunity to directly engage residents, appreciate their challenges, and collectively work towards practical solutions that address the pressing issues confronting our communities, Alhaji Takoro stated.
He added that the engagements are intended to bring the Assembly closer to the people, foster open dialogue, and ensure that its policies and interventions align with the genuine needs and aspirations of the residents.


The Mayor was accompanied by some Assembly Members of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, led by the Presiding Member, as well as executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tamale South Constituency.
He commended them for their support and commitment to the city’s development agenda.
Honourable Alhaji Takoro disclosed that similar engagements will continue across other electoral areas in the coming days as part of efforts to build a more inclusive, responsive, and progressive Tamale Metropolis.
