Kumbungu, Ghana – Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Hon. Alhaji Muhammad Mumuni, has officially filed his nomination to contest for the Northern Region’s slot on Ghana’s Council of State under the 1992 Constitution.
In a message to colleagues and well-wishers, Hon. Mumuni expressed humility and gratitude as he announced his candidacy, highlighting his extensive experience in both local and national politics.
With a career spanning several decades, he emphasized the wealth of knowledge, skills, and influence he has accumulated assets he believes will be invaluable in fulfilling the Council’s advisory role to the President.
“As you may be well aware, I have had the privilege of holding various positions in local and national politics. Over this period, I have acquired competencies and leverage that I hope to bring to bear on the critically important mandate of the Council of State,” he stated.
Hon. Mumuni is widely recognized for his distinguished political career, having served in key governmental positions.
His bid for the Council of State is expected to generate significant interest, given his track record and deep-rooted influence in the Northern Region.
He concluded his message by seeking the support and prayers of his colleagues and the people of the Northern Region, expressing appreciation for their encouragement and patience.
